Inspired by the famous "Napoleon Crossing the Grand Saint-Bernard" by Jacques-Louis David, this painting transports the image of the warlord into the heart of the lunar void.

The horse rears on a crater-pocked ground, the astronaut brandishes his finger toward Earth: a symbol of boundless ambition, of a power that projects itself ever further, even if it means moving away from humanity.

Behind heroism lies the absurdity of endless conquests, whether terrestrial, celestial, or ideological.

Teejo is a French contemporary artist. He modernizes old works of great masters by reinventing them through his own vision. He aims to make (re)discover old paintings by grand masters, sometimes forgotten with time, to the whole world. His passion for classical art has allowed him to develop his talent. He also creates new original works mixing poetry, satire, prevention, and imagination, delivering many messages through his creations. These works are sold worldwide.

He creates his works using digital tools and enjoys mixing and reinterpreting techniques to achieve the best possible result. He is also the designer of the "perceptual duality", a graphic innovation filed with the Institut national de la propriété industrielle that allows obtaining several images in a single painting through color glasses.
