Description from the seller

This work comes from the Tropiques 93 series.

This bridge is a link between urban constructions and nature, but also symbolically the connection between two worlds: the calm of a residential area and the rhythm that blends noise and speed of a road and commercial zone.

Born in 1979, she lives and works at the edge of the world facing a beach – Plougonvelin, Finistère Nord.

Graduated with a Baccalauréat in Applied Arts in 1997, she does not pursue artistic studies and moves toward social work.

But the practice of drawing and painting catches up with her and in 2019 she decides to devote most of her time to her artistic practice.

Always drawn to what people don’t want to see—urban landscapes, industrial wastelands—she begins by painting series of paintings mainly in acrylic. Colorful urban landscapes where nature intermingles. Recently, her artistic practice has diversified into sculpting and other 3D objects, as well as photography and sound recording.

My artistic work dives into the heart of landscapes, whether shaped by human hands or left to the evolution of nature.

The observation I make after various in-situ landscape research and encounters: the landscape is always shaped by human hands, but it is also a construction in its representation in art: the invention of perspective shapes our gaze toward the landscape.

My artistic approach questions the relationship between man and his environment. How do human technical abilities transform a natural landscape? How does nature develop without intervention? What is our physical, intimate connection to these places? How does our gaze apprehend these spaces?

My work is built in series, around geographical points identified by their GPS coordinates. Each work is a sensory reconstruction of the place, where I gather clues – colors, shapes, geometry, natural elements, sonic atmospheres – to convey a global vision of these landscapes and the atmosphere felt on site. I employ various techniques, materials for this: paintings, drawings, modeling, photographs, screen prints, watercolors.

"The situational visuals are AI visualizations based on photographs of the real object. The photographs of the real object are authoritative."
