AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

"FREE SPIRIT" is a painting by Flavia Delgado that evokes freedom, strength, and a connection with nature through a scene inspired by the American West imagination. The figure of a Native American rider on a majestic horse occupies the center of the composition, surrounded by a desert landscape of rock formations and wild vegetation.

The work stands out for a vibrant palette of turquoise blue, red, orange, yellow, and black, applied with flat colors, strong contrasts, and bold graphic outlines. Its aesthetics combine references to Pop Art, comics, vintage American illustration, and old Western posters, reinterpreted from a contemporary language.

The horse and rider become visual symbols of independence, courage, and an indomitable spirit, concepts reinforced by the words “FREE SPIRIT – WILD HEART – BRAVE SOUL” integrated into the composition itself.

“FREE SPIRIT” is especially appealing to collectors of Pop Art, Western Art, Americana, equestrian art, visual culture of the American West, vintage posters, comics, and contemporary figurative painting.

Seller's Story

I present a pictorial work line strongly linked to illustration and artistic poster design. My works combine the language of classic poster art with the plastic freedom of contemporary painting: flat colors, defined contours, direct scenes, and a clear narrative sense. My work dialogues with the tradition of 20th-century poster art, especially with the universe of Art Deco and European and North American advertising posters, where authors like A. M.. Cassandre, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, and Leonetto Cappiello used synthetic imagery and color for visual impact. There are also affinities with European comic graphics and the clear line, from Hergé to modern editorial illustration. In my paintings, I depict interiors, architectures, figures, and travel scenes—such as roads, vintage cars, or landscapes—approached from a graphic perspective reminiscent of posters and illustrated books, but transferred to the realm of painting on paper and canvas. I aim for each image to function like a frame or a narrative poster, capable of suggesting a broader story without needing to explain it.
