Attributed to Kurt Schinkitz – Forest Landscape with Stream
Large-format, signed oil painting on canvas featuring a forest landscape and a stream meandering through the scene.
The work is handwritten in the lower right with the signature “Schinkitz.” Based on the signature, the motif, and comparable works, an attribution to the German painter Kurt Schinkitz, active in the 20th century, appears plausible. However, there is no written expert opinion or certificate of authenticity; therefore the work is explicitly offered as attributed to Kurt Schinkitz.

On the reverse side there is an historic maker’s stamp of the artist’s canvas used: “Viktoria Malleinen” / A. Schutzmann, Herrsching near Munich. On the frame or cradle there is also the handwritten format note 60 × 80.
The canvas appears, from an external view, to be in overall good age-appropriate condition. No major cracks or punctures of the canvas are evident. The painting surface shows age-related signs and slight soiling. The frame has minor bumps, wear, and age-related signs of use.
On the back are the original or older wooden cradle, the canvas, and the older hanging hardware preserved. The wedges are present.
No restoration or professional cleaning is known. The painting has not been cleaned or otherwise treated by me.
