Detailed description
Magnificent solid wood wall weather station with a trapezoidal rounded shape, satin amber lacquer finish in mahogany or stained beech.
The casing, with purely mid-century elegance, features soft lines and a generous thickness.
Instrument composition:
Central aneroid barometer, main dial under convex glass, brass ring.
Graduated scale from 71 to 80 cm Hg.
German inscriptions:
STÜRMISCH – REGEN – VERÄNDERLICH – SCHÖN – TROCKEN
Two hands, one for reading, one for recall. Mechanism visible through the perforated dial.
Thermometer on the left: horizontal dial under glass, Celsius scale from 0 to about 40 °C, brass mounting.
Hygrometer on the right: horizontal dial under glass, 20 to 60% relative humidity, inscription Hygrometer brass mounting.
Rear face circular metal plate fixed by three screws, allowing access and adjustment of the barometric mechanism. The wood surface shows slight patina from use, with no cracks or major deformations.
Condition
Very good overall original condition.
Wood: intact finish, a few micro-scratches from use and light oxidation traces on the brass rims and authentic patina.
Glasses intact, no cracks.
Instruments: hands present, dials legible. Not tested for functionality.
