Donald C Laycock - The Complete Enochian Dictionary - 1978

For sale is an exceptionally well-preserved copy of the sought-after first edition (1978) of “The Complete Enochian Dictionary” by Donald C. Laycock, published by Askin Publishers in London. The work is still regarded today as the authoritative reference on the Enochian language (“the language of the angels”), which was recorded in the 16th century by Dr. John Dee and Edward Kelley. This original hardcover edition was issued by the publisher without a dust jacket. It features a deep black cover with a flawless, sharply edged gold embossing on the spine and the front cover.
The overall condition is excellent. There are minimal signs of storage. The gold embossing is glossy and very well preserved. The interior is clean and firmly bound in the block, the paper aged modestly and evenly darkened.
An absolute gem for collectors of historical grimoires, esoteric literature, and rare occult first editions.
