Description from the seller

Rare occultist rarity from the interwar period!

For sale is the rare German first edition of the work 'Der Vampirismus' by Lionel St. Clyde (pseudonym of the author Karl Erdmann), published in 1928 by the venerable Joh. Hochauf Verlag in Erfurt.
This is not fiction, but a fascinating occult-theoretical treatise on the phenomenon of vampirism in history, myth, and folk belief. In five chapters the author examines historical case studies, bridges to sunken cultures like Atlantis, and dedicates himself to ancient Greek traditions as well as the notion of 'living vampires.'

An absolutely typical and rare testimony of esoteric literature of the 1920s.
The interior and the title area present themselves in clean, age-appropriate very good condition with minimal natural paper browning. The binding is solid, shows on the outside typical signs of wear/lightening due to age. No loose pages.
An excellent collectible for libraries specializing in Esotericism, Occultism, and Vampire Myths!
