RAMON AZUL, Les Quatre Humeurs, a 40 x 40 cm mixed media on canvas with digital painting techniques, Original edition, created in 2026, hand-signed, ready to hang, certificate of authenticity supplied.
Description from the seller
RAMON AZUL, Mixed media on canvas — pigment giclée, brush-on varnish applied by hand · Digital painting · Hand-signed · 2026
Quadriptych in a single square: the same folded figure, repeated four times. Ochre on blue, blue on orange, violet on olive, red on turquoise. Each panel shifts temperament by changing chromatic harmony.
Postures barely vary — one arm higher, a turned face, eyes open or closed — but the color alone suffices to convey four distinct states of mind. The grid format invites comparison and transforms a single motif into a typology.
Even treatment across the four panels: flat color fields, outlined contour, restrained modeling. The backgrounds are slightly textured to avoid a flat-printed feel. The whole reads as one block, not as four juxtaposed panels.
Mixed media: ink pigment printmaking, brush-on varnish applied by hand, for durable protection of the work.
Support: premium stretched canvas on a wooden frame, ready to hang.
Format: 40 x 40 cm.
Signed RAMON AZUL · Galerie Labo Joconde / Atelier Joconde · certificate of authenticity provided.
RAMON AZUL is one of the creations bringing together artists Le Yack, Neo Pablo and Popsan within Atelier Joconde, a family studio where three sensibilities coexist: neo-realism, pop and free figuration. Under the name RAMON AZUL, the Atelier explores stylized nudity in the modern Mexican tradition: monochrome bodies in saturated flat tones, full and sculptural forms, pure color backgrounds, and the grave serenity of faces.
RAMON AZUL gathers nude figures with color bodies, blue, red, ochre, curled or intertwined, where the skin becomes a state of mind and the body a pure plastic sign. The throughline: a dialogue between the heritage of the Mexican school and a contemporary pop perspective, where the painting material enhances and transfigures the printed image.
Each work is a unique piece.
