Saint-Aubin is an iron meteorite, classified Iron IIIAB, with a magnificent octahedral structure and many inclusions of troilite and schreibersite.

TIPS FOR COLLECTORS:
PURCHASE: Iron meteorites are prone to degradation by oxidation. Before buying, carefully check the surface condition that shows the Widmanstätten patterns. Be vigilant if there are traces of oxides, as this can worsen over time—favor faces without oxidation and without thick varnish; don’t hesitate to zoom in on photos. For complete meteorites, prefer an appearance without powdery oxidation or oozing signs, which indicate instability. Even surfaces that have retained a natural patina must be dry and sound. Favor sellers who offer guarantees on the stability of meteorites and after-sales service if needed.
PRESENTATION: All photos are taken in studio with artificial lighting and are not retouched to obtain a rendering as close to reality as possible. The scale cube measures 1x1cm. To achieve the same look at home, I recommend displaying in a showcase with appropriate white lighting.
CONSERVATION: Store your iron meteorites in air or in a display case with humidity levels not exceeding an average of 50 to 60%. If you are in a very humid region or by the sea, store your meteorites in airtight boxes with desiccant to protect them from oxidation.
HANDLING: Handle your meteorites preferably with gloves, avoiding touching the revealed faces (apparent structure) which can be contaminated by the acidic and salty sweat on your fingers.
