Artistic Curriculum – Tonino Cimino
Tonino Cimino is an Italian artist active for about thirty years in the field of contemporary painting.
During his career he has collaborated with several Italian galleries and artistic realities, including Atena Galleria in Como, with which he worked for about eight years, Gallery San Giorgio, Galleria Art Eventi Mazzoleni of Bergamo and various exhibition venues in Portofino, where his works have been presented and sold for several years.
He has participated in numerous group exhibitions, fairs and art events in Italy and abroad, including Arte Genova, Arte Padova, Arte Piacenza, Arte Parma and an art fair in Innsbruck. He has also taken part in collective exhibitions in Germany and France, including Nice.
Among his exhibition experiences is also a solo show at the Broletto in Milan and participation in initiatives and artistic competitions organized by the Association Il Kosmo.
Over the years he has created works also of large format, including canvases 90 × 160 cm for Galleria Mazzoleni and works 90 × 140 cm presented and sold in Portofino.
His painting research is mainly devoted to contemporary landscape, interpreted through large skies, fields, isolated trees and essential horizons. The compositions, often characterized by wide spaces and few elements, seek a balance between silence, light, color and emotion.
The works are predominantly made on canvas, through a personal painting developed over many years of research and experimentation.
