We proudly present an extraordinary, monumental wall sculpture (bas-relief/installation) titled "The Weight of Thoughts" by the acclaimed contemporary artist Aga Koncka.

This work represents a step toward profound surrealism and bold material experimentation.
The piece serves as a powerful metaphor for the human psyche, inner chaos, and the overwhelming flood of thoughts and emotions. At the base of the sculpture lies a realistic, precisely rendered head with a piercing, proud gaze. Rising above it is a massive, organic, cloud-like structure from which smaller human faces and dramatically outstretched hands violently emerge.
The artwork raises questions about the boundaries of our identity and what we confront within the quiet confines of our own minds.

Technique and materials:
The artist has combined classical craftsmanship with modern sculptural techniques: Figurative elements—the faces and hands—were handcrafted from ceramics, allowing for the preservation of full realism and expressive facial features.
Organic structure: The surrounding space was formed from expanded structural polymer (polyurethane resin). This material allowed for the creation of a massive, porous volume that remains lightweight, facilitating safe wall mounting.
Finish: The entire piece has been hand-finished with a unique patina in shades of antique gold, bronze, and deep black, giving the object a raw, almost metallic appearance.
