Scuola Romana (XVIII) - Coppia di paesaggi arcadici animati con figure e armenti

Lot consisting of two splendid oil paintings on canvas depicting bucolic and Arcadian landscapes, fully attributable to the school of landscape painters active in central Italy (Roman milieu) during the 18th century.

Description of the works:

First painting: Depicts a suggestive river view with classical inspiration. In the foreground a pedestrian traveler accompanies a knight with a distinctive red jacket on a white horse. In the background, a one-arched stone bridge guides the eye toward a fortified village perched on the hill, bathed in a clear light.

Second painting: Shows a lively pastoral scene animated by several figures in clothes of classical inspiration and rural elements. On the right, beneath an imposing rocky cliff, a herd of goats and cows grazing is depicted, while the background opens to a valley lit by the golden tones of sunset light.
