Unisex 18K white gold sapphire and diamond cluster ring from the 1980s, featuring a 2.65 ct oval sapphire framed by twelve natural diamonds (~0.80 ct total), head 17.3 × 21 mm, weight 4.6 g, EU size 55, in very good condition with no laboratory report.
Description from the seller
Type of jewel: Sapphire and diamond cluster ring.
Condition: In well-preserved condition, especially given this ring’s age.
Style: Classic vintage cluster design, with an oval sapphire framed by a scalloped surround of diamonds.
Era: Circa 1980.
Material: 18K white gold, touchstone tested.
Extra information: The raised oval head is supported by an open gallery and slender split shoulders.
Diamonds: Twelve round brilliant-cut diamonds with a combined estimated weight of 0.80 ct (colour: F–H; clarity: VVS–VS).
Diamond weights, colour and clarity are approximate, as the stones were assessed in their settings and were not removed for grading or weighing.
All diamonds in this ring were individually tested with the Magilabs' EXA Natural Diamond Detector and identified as natural diamonds.
Gemstone: One oval faceted natural sapphire with an estimated weight of 2.65 ct.
The gemstone weight is approximate, as the stone was assessed in its setting and was not removed for weighing.
It is common practice for gemstones to be treated in order to improve their colour or clarity. The sapphire has not been tested for such treatments.
Traditional gemstone associations: Sapphire is traditionally associated with September and loyalty, while diamond is the birthstone for April.
Hallmarks: No trace of hallmarks.
Dimensions: Ring head: 17.3 × 21 mm. See picture with a ruler in cm and inches.
Weight: 4.6 g
Ring size: EU 55; inner diameter approx. 17.5 mm; US approx. 7¼; UK approx. O.
Ring sizes are professionally measured and rounded to the nearest millimetre; slight variations are standard and do not affect wear.
