Biography
Ottmar Hörl studied at the Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main and with Klaus Rinke at the Kunstakademie in Düsseldorf. Since 1999 he has been a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts Nuremberg. The German conceptual artist works with diverse forms of expression and gained international recognition through his time-limited large-scale projects featuring serially produced sculptures in public spaces. For Ottmar Hörl, art is an organizational principle and a reason for communication, intended to provoke thought and have an impact in society.
