Tullio Crali - 1° Campionato Radio motociclistico Gorizia - 1970s

Amazing piece of history in Italian avant-garde advertising graphics from the 20th century. This exceptional period poster bears the signature of the famed master of Futurist Aeropittura, Tullio Crali (signed and dated in the upper left 'CRALI 33'). The poster was created for the 'First Interprovincial Radiomotorcyclist Championship for Young Fascists' held in Gorizia. The work masterfully embodies the aesthetics of dynamism and pure speed, the pillars of the Futurist movement: the iconic centaur in a suit and black goggles rockets aboard a blazing red motorcycle, emerging from a dark architectural structure that recalls the stylized geometric lines of a fasces. In the background towers prominently the octagonal logo of EIAR (Ente Italiano Audizioni Radiofoniche, precursor of RAI). The diagonal composition, geometric force, and bold use of tonal contrasts make this sheet an absolute masterpiece signed by the Grafiche Chiesa - Udine workshops.
