Amber crystal-paste sculpture issued by Daum in its China Collection, after an ancient stoneware model kept at the Guimet Museum.
Limited edition of 388 pieces.
This piece bears the number 115/388.
The sculpture is signed and numbered at the edge: “Daum France – 115/388”.
The model is referenced 03463 in the Daum 2008 catalog. The China Collection was created by Daum from 2006 as part of collaborations with major French collections of Asian art. The Daum catalog describes the model as inspired by a Liao-era stoneware lion kept at the Guimet Museum.
The piece is made using the lost-wax crystal-paste technique, characteristic of Daum. The material shows rich hues ranging from deep reddish-brown to amber-orange and translucent yellow. Color variations and small internal bubbles are characteristic of this artisanal technique.
Provenance: purchased directly from the Daum boutique in Nancy in 2022.

Condition: very good. No chips, cracks, or restorations. The detailed photographs are an integral part of the description.
Due to the artisanal crystal-paste technique, each piece shows its own variations in transparency, color and bubbling.
Shipping is especially protected, the sculpture is placed back in its box and its original padding, then packed in a second rigid carton.
