This vase is a splendid production of Bottega Gatti of Faenza, internationally renowned for its maiolica ceramic pieces with metallic reflections and lustre glazes. The piece in the photo stands out for its precious ruby-red color that shifts, enriched by coppery, golden shades and blue-green reflections along the flared upper rim. The third-firing reduction technique (used since 1928 by founder Riccardo Gatti) gives the surface a unique shine and iridescent variegation for each individual piece, simulating the effect of polished metal or Favrile glass on terracotta.

It is sold as-is due to wear, as shown in the photos.

Questo vaso è una splendida produzione della Bottega Gatti di Faenza, rinomata a livello internazionale per le sue caratteristiche ceramiche maiolicate con riflessi metallici e smalti a lustro.Il pezzo in foto si distingue per la pregiata colorazione rosso rubino cangiante, arricchita da sfumature ramate, dorate e riflessi blu-verdi lungo l'orlo superiore svasato. La tecnica del terzo fuoco a riduzione (utilizzata fin dal 1928 dal fondatore Riccardo Gatti) conferisce alla superficie una lucentezza e un'iridescenza cangiante uniche per ogni singolo pezzo, simulando l'effetto del metallo lucido o del vetro favrile sulla terracotta.
