Superb portrait of a woman the painter met during his captivity in Morocco. "d'après une photographie", oil on canvas by Augustin MEMIN (1910 - 1981).

Augustin Mémin (1910 - 1981), nicknamed “Tintin”, was a French amateur painter born in Denain (Nord) and died in 1981. A telegraphist by profession at the PTT, he was spotted and supported by the artistic cell of his administration. He loved painting on Montmartre Hill and created numerous landscapes and still lifes in oil. His works were regularly exhibited in salons such as the Salon des Artistes Français.
