Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
XTC’s hand-finished aluminium sculpture Extincteur Champ Clicquot Black II, 31 cm high, 8.5 cm wide and 8.5 cm deep, made in France, edition 20/30 (2026), signed at the bottom with a COA.
Description from the seller
Veuve Clicquot Champagne Black II Fire Extinguisher by XTC.
Aluminium sculpture manufactured commercially (fire extinguisher) and customized, hand-finished by the artist XTC using acrylic paints and varnishes. The edition number applies to the painted finish by the artist and not to the base object, the fire extinguisher.
Uniquely painted, no stickers for a uniform result and better longevity.
Numbered out of 30 and signed on the bottom, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) provided.
(The piece sent is not necessarily the one in the photo.)
Careful, tracked shipping.
Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC has shaped his artistic universe through his interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration evolved into a passion, which was to be realized.
XTC defines himself as a self-taught visual artist, aligning with the Pop Art movement, through the subversion of contemporary consumer goods.
His creativity is expressed through the bold staging of icons of popular consumption (such as McDonald’s, Malabar, Chupa), which he makes collide with the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermes, Veuve Clicquot champagne, and even Caviar) and Street Art, further blurring the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds.
He expresses his art through sculpture, blending painting with all kinds of resins, plastics, and sometimes mineral materials.
He draws inspiration, among others, from Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey, advertising, and addictions in general.
All potential defects or imperfections are an integral part of the work: it is a salvaged, empty (gas-free) fire extinguisher that may have surface flaws visible through the paint. (It is, of course, forbidden to sell a full extinguisher whose standard labels or the pin are missing.)
HAND-FINISHED « Sculpture manufactured for commercial purposes, hand-retouched by the artist XTC using acrylic paints. »
