Mathilde Frances 1879-1964

Mathilde Frances was born in Saint-Pons and died in Montpellier.
She was known for her portraits and landscapes. She studied at the Montpellier School of Fine Arts, and she was the pupil of Jean-Paul Laurens.
Her works are exhibited in Paris at the Salon des Artistes Français, of which she became secretary in 1922.

Very beautiful work, magical colors, framed dimensions 45x52 cm (frame to be restored in places: see photos).
Rare on the market.
