Title: The Echo of Lost Steps
Measurements: 70x70 cm
Year: 2025
Marco Valli is an Italian artist whose pictorial research focuses on the contemporary urban landscape, examined as a space of memory and perception. His works originate from architectural fragments and metropolitan viewpoints that are progressively simplified and layered through glazes, erasures, and material overlaps.
The city, in his canvases, loses its narrative dimension to become a silent surface, suspended between presence and dissolution. Figures and details emerge as temporary traces, suggesting a slowed time and an introspective view of urban space.
NB: The work will be shipped inside a sturdy tube suitable for shipping. The colors of the painting may differ slightly from the photos due to screen settings. In person, the artworks are more beautiful than in photography: one can appreciate the hypnotic beauty of the oil colors coming to life on the canvas.
