Description from the seller
French ashtray handmade in Limoges.
Material: genuine porcelain.
Colors: The exterior background is an intense cobalt blue (typical of the classic 'firing blue') contrasting with an immaculate white interior bowl.
Ornamentation: Fine gold-applied decorations. The lid features a central medallion in the shape of a complex rosette, framed by a circular geometric border and scrolling motifs. The rim of the receptacle is scattered with small golden floral bouquets.
Marking: The unglazed underside bears the golden stamp Limoges FRANCE followed by the letters CID, authenticating its factory-made manufacture in the Limoges region.
