Jules Michelet – History of the French Revolution
* Volume I – edition prepared and commented by Gérard Walter.
* Printed: 20 October 1961.
* Volume II – edition prepared and commented by Gérard Walter.
* Printed: 18 April 1962.
* These two volumes correspond to the first printings of the newly revised 1961-1962 composition, with new pagination and critical apparatus revised and enlarged.
Count of Las Cases – The Memorial of Saint Helena
* Volume I – preface by André Maurois, introduction by Jean Prévost, text prepared and commented by Gérard Walter.
* Printed: 29 July 1964.
* Volume II – same edition.
* Printed: 15 July 1963.

The four volumes form a particularly coherent whole: from the French Revolution to the Napoleonic epic, up to Napoleon’s exile to Saint Helena.
Soft bindings in full green morocco, characteristic of the Bibliothèque de la Pléiade, spines adorned with gold fillets. The four illustrated jackets are present.
Remarkable condition, close to new. Bindings and gilding especially fresh, interiors very clean. The jackets are also very well preserved, with only the occasional infinitesimal trace of age visible in the photographs.
Set kept with great care.
