Grand vintage umbrella stand shaped like a boot — hammered brass — spur

Imposing and original umbrella/cane stand in the shape of a large riding boot, made of worked and hammered brass.

The piece features a particularly decorative construction with a tall, asymmetrical outline stem, twisted metal lacing, a decorative buckle on the instep, and a real spur wheel decor at the heel.

The hammered metal gives it beautiful reflections and a characteristic artisanal look typical of decorative objects from the mid-20th century.

An old label “Bijouterie Moreau – Pau” is still present on the upper part. It serves as an interesting record of commercial provenance.

Estimated period: mid-20th century, probably the 1950s-1960s. Hammered brass umbrella stands with a very similar design are documented from this period.

Condition: good vintage overall. The brass shows a nice antique patina, with traces of oxidation, stains, scratches and signs of use visible, especially on the foot. Some small deformations and irregularities are possible, consistent with the age and manufacture of the piece. The decorative elements, notably the lacing, the buckle and the spur, are present.
