AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

The 2015 Mazis-Chambertin hails from one of Burgundy's most balanced and rich vintages of the decade. The grapes originate from the Mazis-Haut parcel, characterized by limestone soils and uniform exposure, which impart great structure and aging potential.
Visuals: Deep, dense, and lustrous ruby red.
Nose: An intense, layered bouquet. Notes of small dark forest fruits (raspberry, wild cherry) and plum emerge, alongside hints of bitter orange peel and rosehip. With aeration, complex tones of sweet spices, smoke, tobacco, grilled meat, and flinty-limestone minerality develop.
Palate: Structured, expansive, and muscular. It features a texture of dense, well-integrated tannins set within deep, ripe, fruity flesh. The finish is exceptionally long, spicy, and savory.
Recommended Drinking Window: 2025–2050+. A Grand Cru crafted for long-term bottle aging.
Critic Scores and Reviews
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (William Kelley): 94/100 "One of the highlights of the Faiveley range this year. A rich, deep, and complex wine that has already absorbed its share of new oak."
Allen Meadows (Burghound): 93–95/100
Vinous (Stephen Tanzer / Neal Martin): 93+ / 94/100 "Extremely pure and refined. An energetic Mazis, offering spice, floral notes, and elegance that rises above the average." Jasper Morris MW (Inside Burgundy): 93/100
Steen Öhman (Winehog): 95–96/100
