Description from the seller

Monumental wall triptych with Christ Pantocrator and the Twelve Apostles, Greece, second half of the 20th century.

Solid wooden structure with three leaves, featuring 13 icons entirely hand-painted on canvas applied to panel, each signed by the iconographer. A complete set, made entirely by hand and decidedly out of the ordinary.

A piece more unique than rare, of extraordinary impact once opened and hung on the wall, capable of dominating and characterizing any space.

General conditions good and intact. Some icons show small losses of painting material and natural signs of time, fully consistent with the age of the ensemble. The wooden structure is solid and well preserved.

Height 65 cm, width opened about 70 cm. The individual icons measure about 14x12 cm each. Total weight over 7 kg.

Offered at auction without reserve.

Proper packing and fast shipping.
