A twist, a typhoon at the mercy of the waves frozen in bi-color crystal..

Created by the Belgian glassworks Val Saint Lambert in the 1950s, this vase with a dynamic shape and transparent green color is an homage to the know-how of Belgian glassworks and master glassmakers of the mid-20th century.

From a solid, flat transparent base, shapes resembling ocean waves emerge. The higher your gaze toward the top of the piece, the more you will see the numerous details and the fluid line that finish at the iridescent green tip leaning toward yellow, offering a ribbed appearance akin to handles melted into the crystal.

Its very design-forward look was innovative for its time, when, after various periods of political and economic crises, manufacturers were able to restart activity focused more on design and art rather than utilitarian art without whimsy. This vase inherits Belgian craftsmanship and mid-century design, which inspired the styles that followed.
