Set of six elegant vintage repoussé metal jewelry boxes, gathered in a particularly original decorative lot.
The main piece of this set is a very beautiful repoussed copper jewelry box from Jordan, decorated around the Petra theme, the famous “Red Rose City.” The other five boxes complete the lot with different relief decorations, including figurative, floral and pastoral scenes.

1. Repoussé copper box – Jordan – Petra “Red Rose City”
The centerpiece of this set is a superb vintage repoussé copper jewelry box from Jordan, in excellent overall condition.
Its lid features a magnificent relief representation of the facade of Petra’s Treasury, with its monumental architecture, columns and numerous details. The inscriptions “JORDAN” and “Petra Red Rose City” are visible on the lid.
The decoration is particularly rich and worked: the various faces of the box are adorned with floral and vegetal motifs in relief, with roses, leaves, volutes and arabesques. The four feet are also very worked and decorative.
The box has a particularly heavy and robust structure, with beautiful fittings and a worked metal hinge. Its copper/gold finish and patina give it a great presence.
The interior is lined with black velvet, in very good condition, offering an elegant setting for jewelry, small precious objects or mementos.
This box constitutes a very handsome decorative piece and an interesting souvenir of Jordan, particularly suitable for Petra enthusiasts, Oriental craftsmanship, repoussé metal and vintage travel objects.

Rectangular silver-toned metal box, richly decorated in relief. The lid depicts a scene with characters in traditional costumes, in a landscape.
The box features a beautiful design on the sides as well as four small feet.

3. Heart-shaped box – gallant scene
The lot also includes a heart-shaped box, adorned with a very beautiful figurative relief scene depicting three figures in old-fashioned costumes.
The contours and sides are richly decorated with volutes, foliage and raised ornaments. The box rests on four decorative worked feet.
Its finish presents a silvered appearance, possibly indicating silver plating, though this cannot be confirmed in the absence of a hallmark or analysis.

4. Octagonal box – pastoral scene
Finally, the lot includes a pretty rectangular box with cut corners, featuring a magnificent pastoral relief scene depicting a person seated among several sheep, in a rural landscape.
The decoration is very detailed, with a beaded border, vegetal elements and numerous relief details. The sides are also worked and the box rests on four small decorative feet.

This pretty box features a particularly rich decor of numerous flowers and relief ornaments, with a red background visible between decorative elements and a central diamond-shaped motif.
The sides are also generously decorated with floral motifs and scrolls. It rests on four small decorative feet.

Box 6 – floral medallion
Smaller and particularly charming, this rectangular box features worked metal decor with geometric patterns, scrolls and a beaded border.
Its lid is adorned with a small clear oval medallion, decorated with a pretty bouquet of pink, blue and yellow/orange flowers with green foliage, bringing a splash of color to the whole.
It also has four small decorative feet.

The Jordanian copper box constitutes the main piece and is in excellent condition.
The remaining five boxes are vintage pieces in good overall condition, with very beautiful relief decorations. They may show some small traces typical of their age and prior use, including slight marks or signs of wear, without detracting from their decorative interest.
All feature a velvet interior and each rests on four decorative feet.
