Émile Lahner (1893–1980) was a French painter, sculptor and engraver of Hungarian origin. Initially trained as an engineer, he abandoned this career in the early 1920s to enter the Budapest Academy of Fine Arts. Fleeing the political tensions of his homeland, he settled permanently in Paris in 1924, where he studied at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière under the direction of Antoine Bourdelle.
