Wall sconce - Gilt brass

This vintage light fixture is a Hollywood Regency-style ceiling light or wall sconce, dating generally from the 1950s to the 1970s.

It features a diamond-cut glass globe and rests on a gilded brass knurled base.

This high-end model was notably popularized by renowned publishing houses and designers of the era, such as Glashütte Limburg or Gaetano Sciolari.

Note the absence of a screw for the central support of the globe. It can be found in hardware stores for only a few euros.
It does not affect current use in any way; the sconce remains in place despite this absence.
