Description from the seller
Familia Luis Cañas Selection
Limited-Production Rioja Alavesa and Ribera del Duero
3 bottles: Amaren 60 Garnacha 2021; Luis Cañas Poyotos 2021; Cair Selección “La Aguilera” 2021
A highly desirable trio of contemporary Spanish reds, united by single-site focus, small-production appeal and the excellent 2021 vintage. Amaren 60 Garnacha 2021 is a 100% Garnacha from the Vallondo plot in Villabuena de Álava, planted in 1960. The wine is hand-harvested, double-selected and aged for six months in 500-litre oak barrels.
Luis Cañas Poyotos 2021 is a Rioja Alavesa vineyard wine from a site with a notably mixed varietal planting. The bottle label identifies it as part of a run of 1,871 bottles, underlining its scarcity.
Completing the lot, Cair Selección “La Aguilera” 2021 is a 100% Tempranillo from Ribera del Duero. It was aged for 14 months in French and American oak—half new, half second-fill—and produced in a total run of 76,619 bottles.
3 bottles, 75 cl each.
