Dario Assisi presents an original acrylic painting on canvas, 80 by 80 cm, hand-signed, dated 2026, titled "(Comic) Magritte in the Mondrian world - Welcome to the future", in excellent condition and mounted on a wooden frame about 2 cm thick.
Description from the seller
An artwork created entirely by hand in acrylic on canvas. The painting measures 80x80 cm and is mounted on a wooden frame about 2 centimeters thick. The piece is painted also on the side edges and is therefore ready to be displayed without a frame. Work inspired by the art of Magritte and Mondrian, in this case in comic-book style. A blend of styles of famous artists from different styles and eras. Shipment with international express courier. You can see my works on Instagram at the address: dario.assisi
This work is an allegory of the encounter (and clash) between humanity of the twentieth century and the era of Artificial Intelligence. Through the fusion of Magritte's Surrealism and Mondrian's Neoplasticism, the painting explores how technology is redefining knowledge, creativity, and human identity.
The attitude of the man is the philosophical heart of the canvas: he emerges from the wall with a puzzled, amazed yet wary look, while he holds his pipe. It represents the condition of the contemporary human being — born and formed in an analogical and humanistic culture — who suddenly finds himself projected into a cybernetic reality. He wonders whether that fruit offered by the robot is a gift that will expand his capabilities or a temptation that will rob him of his uniqueness. The painting thus represents a reflection on technological singularity: a historical moment when the human mind and the artificial mind look into each other's eyes for the first time, suspended between the charm of progress and the nostalgia for one’s original nature.
