Vignoli Faenza - Bottega Vignoli - Vase - Lustre-glazed sculpture vase with metallic oxides – 20 cm – Maiolica

Important vase-sculpture from Bottega Vignoli of Faenza, roughly made in the 1980s–1990s and hand-signed at the base “Vignoli – Faenza.”
The quadrangular shape is softened by an elegant wavy edge, while the surface, richly tactile, is traversed by dense veining and small reliefs.
The decoration is particularly evocative: metallic reflections of copper and bronze merge with intense drips and blue cobalt and turquoise accents, while the interior presents deep green tones.
The particular workmanship of the glazes and metallic oxides creates iridescences and continual color changes according to the incidence of light, making each side of the vase different and highly dramatic.
An artwork of great presence, halfway between art pottery and decorative sculpture, expression of the chromatic and material research of Faenza ceramics.
