Wooden table lamp in the Lucerna Fiorentina style, made in Italy in the mid‑20th century (circa 1940–1950), with a hand‑carved light wooden body finished in plaster and gold leaf, a trilobate base with foliate scrolls, a twisted stem, a three‑spout tank decorated with acanthus leaves, overall dimensions 61 cm height x 24 cm width x 20 cm depth, not in working order.
Description from the seller
Splendid decorative table lamp in the “Florentine Lantern” style, made in Italy in the mid-20th century (around 1940-1960).
The piece is entirely hand-carved in light, soft wood with a plaster finish and gold leaf/mecca gilding.
The structure combines neobaroque elements with a classical line: it rests on a trilobed base with foliate volutes, has a twisted shaft, and ends with a three-spout reservoir decorated with acanthus leaves.
The lower base features felt pads and a natural hollow designed for cable passage (the lamp currently lacks wiring/lampsocket).
Excellent furnishing piece for collectors and elegant interiors.
Very good general condition with charming signs of age.
The object is solid and shows some natural cracks from wood shrinkage localized on the trilobed base and slight superficial shedding lines of the gilding, as visible in the photo.
It is ready to be displayed with its aged patina or lends itself to a small localized restoration on the base to even out the gilding.
