MEDSAN - Galaxy Bearer (銀河を運ぶ者) - UNIQUE WORK

There is only one in the world - Edition 1/1

On this square format, Medsan stages a man standing in profile, torso bare, his right arm stretched to the right and the palm open. Above his hand drifts a spiral galaxy whose warm yellow heart lights his fingers and outlines his face with a luminous halo. He looks at it without surprise, chin slightly lowered, calm.
His body is itself a night sky: two other spirals swirl on his shoulder and forearm, star fields cover his back, pink and purple clouds cross his legs. Around him, large rectangular planes cut through the scene and switch between two worlds: on one side a late-afternoon sky, pale blue with salmon clouds, above a light ground that races toward the horizon; on the other, the deep black of space, studded with stars. The boundary runs diagonally and continues onto his skin. A man suspended between evening and night.

A contemplative and luminous piece, ideal for bringing a cosmic touch to a contemporary collector’s interior.

About Medsan / Popsan:
Medsan and Popsan are two signatures of the same artist. Under the name Medsan, he explores the world of medicine and anatomy; under the name Popsan, he reinterprets icons of popular culture by mixing pop art, Japanese art, and anachronisms. On Catawiki, his pop works still appear under the name Medsan, but they belong to the Popsan universe. He creates within the Atelier Joconde, a family of artists’ workshop, alongside the artists Le Yack (figurative painting) and Neo Pablo (abstraction).
