Jones & Crompton - Salt boat (2) - d. 1919 - octagonal model + silver salt spoon - .925 silver

Set of silver salt bowls in Victorian style, nicely 8-sided model standing on a pedestal foot, with the original blue glass liners.

One silver salt spoon is included; it is original to the set.

Both bearing all the English hallmarks:
- Maker's mark J&C = Jones & Crompton (Edward Samuel Jones & Hubert Crompton)
- Left-facing lion for English sterling silver
- City mark of Birmingham
- Date letter u for 1919
The salt spoon has the same marks, only with date letter t for 1918.

Body diameter 5.5 cm. / rim and foot 4.5 cm.
Width across the handles 8.4 cm.
Height at rim 5.5 cm. / at handles 6.5 cm.
Length of the salt spoon 5.5 cm.

Silver weight 66 g.
Total weight 126 g.
The silver shows some signs of wear on both bowls.
One has a few small dents on one side and the other has light openings/cracks at the corners, see photos... this is not obstructive and they can of course still be used.
Otherwise they are in good condition, as is the spoon.
