The Aletai meteorite is a rare and valuable ferrous siderite (iron meteorite) of type IIIE-an, discovered in Xinjiang, China. Formed about 4.5 billion years ago, it stands out for its large size (tons), a unique structure with a high gold and iridium content, and characteristic Widmanstätten patterns. Officially named in 2016, it encompasses several discoveries under synonymous names, including Armanty.
