The Celestial Sphere.

This long religious necklace is composed of 97 beads, pairing faceted cube-cut beads with softened edges with small round, smooth beads.

The main beads, attributed to aquamarine, reveal a remarkable palette of turquoise blue, lagoon blue, and sky blue, with lighter nuances in places. Their slightly cloudy appearance and variations in transparency give each stone a unique character, while the facets catch the light and reveal delicate reflections.

They alternate with small round lapis-lazuli beads, in deep blue, midnight blue to ultramarine, creating a particularly harmonious contrast. Delicate golden elements punctuate the composition and bring a luminous touch between the different stones.

In the center of the necklace sits a pendant, Our Lady of the Sign, the Virgin Mary (Theotokos, “Mother of God”) is depicted seated or in bust, hands raised toward the sky in a posture of deep prayer. The Emmanuel: on her chest, on a medallion, a shield representing the celestial sphere, features the Baby Jesus blessing.
The silver-toned, patinated alloy of the pendant enhances the depth of the reliefs and highlights the features of the Virgin, her halo, the Emmanuel medallion, and the folds of her garment.

The combination of celestial blue, the deep lapis-lazuli blue, golden accents, and the antique appearance of the pendant compose an especially expressive set, imbued with spirituality.
