Offered for auction is a rare vintage Leonidas Trackmaster mechanical stopwatch, made in Switzerland, dating from the mid-20th century (circa 1950s–1970s).

Leonidas later merged with Heuer in 1964 to form Heuer-Leonidas, the historic predecessor of today’s TAG Heuer. For this reason, Leonidas timepieces are closely associated with the Heuer brand and are highly appreciated by collectors of Swiss chronographs and sports timing instruments.

The Trackmaster model was widely used in athletics and professional timing and represents an iconic design of Swiss stopwatch production.
