Slasky (born 1972) presents a Giclée titled Cute in Pop Art style, limited edition (Edition of 5), 50 cm high by 40 cm wide, signed by hand, produced in Italy in 2020+, sold by Agente.
Description from the seller
The eighteenth-century portrait is altered by contemporary interventions that invert its meaning. The paper bag with the inscription "Cute but Psycho" introduces an ironic and provocative tone, while the crossed-out signs on the wall evoke a state of constraint.
“Art is not about representing new things, but representing them with novelty.”
Slasky is a renowned Italian artist whose works have been exhibited in solo and group shows at an international level.
The artist has the ability to fuse classical artworks with techniques of contemporary digital art. With his neo-urban classical style, he blends tradition and modernity, bringing the protagonists of the original artworks into contemporary social and artistic environments.
Selected Exhibitions (2015 — 2026)
Institutional highlight: Long Live Rembrandt, Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, 2026. Work selected by the museum jury from thousands of international submissions for exhibition within the museum's permanent collection spaces. 15 July — 15 September 2019.
