AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Omega Genève Automatic Vintage from the 1970s, Ref. 166.099 – Cal. 1481 – Omega 20 Micron Gold-Plated Bracelet

Description

Omega Genève Automatic vintage, reference 166.099, an authentic piece from the early 1970s, characterized by the period’s geometrically styled case and the elegant champagne dial.

The watch preserves a particularly coherent configuration, with an original dial, automatic movement Omega caliber 1481, crown signed Ω, and a contemporaneous Omega bracelet.

The case features a 20-micron gold-plated bezel and lugs, as expressly stated on the inside of the case back, with a stainless steel back. The bracelet is also marked Omega and carries “Plaqué G 20 Microns – Stainless Steel – 1181/215”.

The champagne dial presents applied markers, date at 3 o’clock, and the Omega Automatic Genève – Swiss Made signature. The automatic movement is visible in the photographs.

The watch is presented in good vintage condition, with normal signs, scratches, and wear compatible with its age. The plating shows areas of wear, clearly documented in the photographs: I preferred not to subject the case to polishing or replating, thereby preserving its vintage state and finishes. The dial and hands have also not been restored.

The plexiglass/Eastalite crystal shows some signs of use. The movement is functioning; since there is no documentation of a recent service, it is sold without declarations regarding accuracy of timekeeping, and I recommend a standard service for daily use.

Main features: Omega Genève Automatic · Ref. 166.099 · Omega caliber 1481 · champagne dial · date at 3 o’clock · 20-micron gold-plated case/lug · stainless steel back · crown Ω · Omega bracelet ref. 1181/215, Plaqué G

The photographs are an integral part of the description and show in detail the condition of the watch, case, bracelet, and movement.
