Dennis Rodman is a former American basketball player and ranks among the best defenders and rebounders in NBA history. He became known for his uncompromising defense, his exceptional rebounding strength, and his eccentric demeanor with changing hair colors and distinctive style. Despite relatively low scoring, Rodman had enormous influence on games and was regarded as a specialist in defensive work.

During his career he played for the Detroit Pistons, the San Antonio Spurs, the Chicago Bulls, the Los Angeles Lakers and the Dallas Mavericks. His greatest successes came with the Detroit Pistons ("Bad Boys") and later with the Chicago Bulls alongside Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen.

Dennis Rodman won a total of five NBA championships (1989, 1990, 1996, 1997 and 1998), was twice NBA Defensive Player of the Year (1990 and 1991) and led the NBA seven years in a row in rebounds per game. He was also twice an NBA All-Star, twice named to the All-NBA Third Team, seven times selected to the NBA All-Defensive First Team and once to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team. In 2011 he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

Rodman remains to this day one of the best defenders and rebounders of all time and one of the most colorful personalities in the history of basketball.
