Lot of three antique home decorations from Italy dating to 1930–1940, made of brass, cast iron and copper, with dimensions up to 45 cm high and 20 cm wide/deep, all in good used condition and in working order.
Description from the seller
A set of antique home décor items.
These are:
- An antique coal-fired iron in cast iron with a wooden handle and a distinctive rooster-shaped knob that serves as a closure. Operates on coal or charcoal, inserted inside the hollow body. Decorated with a small rooster on the lid, often used as a stopper or snap closure.
- An antique hammered-copper kettle with a bulbous base, narrow neck, side handle, and a pointed decorative lid. Historically used for containing, heating, or pouring water and coffee.
- A small tripod brazier (or cauldron) in bronze (or brass/bronzina) with a curved iron handle, dating presumed to the 19th century. The body, cast in bronze or heavy brass, rests on three small feet (tripod), historically designed to be placed directly on the embers or ashes of the fireplace. The movable arch is iron and set into side lugs. Originally used as a small cauldron or container for heating/cooking foods over the fireplace fire.
