Description from the seller
Picasso: "Le Chien, 1907".
Authorized silkscreen printing.
Condition: the work is in excellent condition.
Format: 60 x 50 cm.
The high-quality silkscreen print underscores the graphic quality of the motif and gives the work a clear, pronounced presence.
Picasso's shortened animal depictions belong to the charm‑iest examples of his playful drawing. With a few precise lines, the artist manages to capture movement, character and expression in an impressive way.
The motif “Le Chien” shows a humorous and at the same time elegant rendering of a dachshund. The clear graphic structure and the minimalist visual language give the sheet a timeless modern aura.
The representation convinces with its reduced, expressive line work and a direct, lively image effect. It is precisely the animal depictions from this phase that possess their own character and clearly distinguish themselves from later, heavily abstracted works.
Never framed and kept in a dark archival storage between protective acid-free paper.
The shown photos are part of the description.
