Description from the seller
My name is Cyril Keller. I was born on September 12, 1978 in Saarland.
My enthusiasm for art began in the early 1990s with graffiti. Even back then I was fascinated by colors, shapes and the possibility to give my ideas their own expression. This passion still forms the foundation of my work today.
What shaped me especially was my teacher and mentor, the artist Parscha Mirghawameddin. With him I learned to paint. His sense for colors, his eye for composition and his artistic experience were of great importance for my development. As his student I could benefit from a knowledge and a passion that accompany me until today.
I am very grateful to Parscha for sharing his experiences with me and supporting me on my artistic path. Learning from him was a special opportunity for me. On this basis I developed my own visual language and found my personal approach to painting.
Since 2015 I have been dedicating myself with great enthusiasm to abstract art. I am especially fascinated by the squeegee technique: the interplay of color layers, the resulting structures and the surprising forms that give each painting its own character. In doing so, the learned craft merges with intuition and joy of experimentation.
My paintings are meant to enliven spaces, awaken emotions and provide lasting pleasure to their viewers. Each work leaves room for one's own thoughts and discoveries. It is precisely this openness that makes abstract painting so special to me: a painting can mean something different for every person and, over time, reveal new facets again and again.
With every canvas I develop my work further—carried by my artistic roots, the valuable impulses of my teacher and the wish to create something of my own.
The canvas is unstretched and is carefully rolled in a shipping tube. An authenticity certificate is included in the delivery.
