Rare mid-century ice-glass candy dish with a 925 sterling silver lid – Dansk Guldsmede-Håndværk (DGH)

Punzierung / Markung: On the underside of the lid, fully and cleanly stamped with the official manufacturer’s mark [DGH in a circle] as well as the origin and fineness seal “STERLING DENMARK 925 S”. Design & Dekor: Organically flowing, wavy glass body in a solid ice-glass look. The silver mountings pick up a plastically formed neoclassical grape and blossom motif in the style of classic Georg Jensen designs. The floral lid knob serves as a three-dimensionally molded handle. Construction: The side silver handles are painstakingly fixed through the glass with threaded and counter-screws. one screw is missing. The lid is fully demountable for cleaning.
