About the Artist:
Based in Paris at the beginning of the 20th century, Juan Clarà specialized in creating small bronzes focused on childhood themes, modeled with exquisite sensitivity. He exhibited his works at the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris, as well as in Madrid and Barcelona.
Clarà’s depictions of children display a unique grace and freshness, making him the leading figure of the naturalistic movement in Spanish sculpture. While his figures maintain the realist tradition of the 19th century, the spontaneity of the gestures and the freedom in his work align him closely with the Modernist and Art Nouveau ideals of early 20th-century European artists. His creations were cast by top foundries, including the Fonderie de Bronzes Artistiques de Paris and the renowned Goldscheider workshops.
Today, Juan Clarà is represented in prestigious institutions, such as the Manuel Ramos Andrade Foundation and the Art Nouveau and Art Déco Museum "Casa Lis" in Salamanca, as well as in many high-end private collections.
An authentic and delicate piece, perfect for collectors, antique art lovers, or refined interior decoration.
Careful shipping with insurance and tracking included.
