David Law (1967) presents Private Worlds III, a 30 × 30 cm aluminium print on vinyl, weight 600 g, created in 2025 in France, signed on the plate, in a limited edition of 8 copies (4/8), using mixed media, IA and digital painting techniques, depicting Culture Pop.
Description from the seller
Photographic artist – Creator of contemporary imagery
A multidisciplinary photographer-artist, author and musician, David Law develops work focused on gaze, presence and the perception of images in urban space. He first became known for a series devoted to storefront mannequins, integrated into the city through a subtle play of reflections and superimpositions. This exploration of gaze and presence gave rise to an art book published in 2021. Later, intrigued by the singular aesthetics of collectible dolls and Japanese figurines, he continues this reflection by staging them in the streets of Paris and other European capitals. Through framing, light and composition, these inanimate subjects acquire a troubling, almost lifelike presence, questioning our relationship to illusion and projection.
New series – Private Worlds
In a repetitive facade where every window becomes a world, light reveals fragments of silent lives. Behind each colored square, simple gestures — almost invisible — tell of intimacy, waiting and isolation. No gaze crosses another; no story intersects. A collection of contemporary solitudes, enclosed in their own luminous frames. This series was conceived using contemporary visual-creation workflows, employing current graphic tools and digital composition techniques.
Career
Since 2014, David Law has participated in around twenty contemporary art fairs per year in France and Europe. He is also the official photographer and videographer for several organizers of contemporary art fairs. Parallel to his visual activity, he develops authorial work and music, including 3 novels, a collection of short stories, a comic book, a photo book and 5 self-produced CDs. As a singer-guitarist, he currently performs with the group FRENZY.
Edition & Production
Each work is offered in a limited edition of 8 numbered copies plus 4 artist’s proofs (A.P.), signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The prints are made on aluminum with an integrated rear mount. Printed on luminous white vinyl, mounted between two aluminum plates, with soft UV- and humidity-resistant lamination, guaranteeing excellent durability, long-term color stability, and a modern, contemporary look.
