Description: a finely crafted etrog box, executed in an elegant curved form with richly worked decorative borders and floral appliqués on the lid and sides and provided with a fully gold-gilded interior.
Etrog boxes are used within Jewish tradition for storing the etrog (citrus fruit) which plays an important role during the Sukkot festival. Thanks to the gilded interior, the fruit is protected against oxidation.
