Rare gilded bronze wall mirror from France, dating to 1850–1900, in Rocaille style, weighing 586 g with external dimensions 28 cm high, 12.5 cm wide and 3 cm deep, featuring thick bevelled glass and a solid, patinated gold finish.

Rare Mural Courtesy Mirror in Gilded Bronze – Late 19th Century (Rocaille Style)
Superb small wall sconce or hand-held mirror to hang, in solid bronze (or heavy high-quality brass, weight: 586 g).
Magnificent double-sided Rocaille / Neo-Rococo engraving work, adorned with volutes, flowers and reeds.
Authenticity elements:
- Original glass: Thick glass with a substantial hand bevel. The patina shows natural mercury specks, attesting to its authenticity.
- Engraved back: Decorated rear plate, fixed by 4 period screws with slotted heads.
- Mounting system: Wall suspension ring molded in the mass at the top of the frame.
- Workshop mark: Stamped in relief on the back with the initials "VO" and model number 8889.
Condition: Very good state of preservation. Superb original gilded patina with slight signs of time that add to its charm. Sound and solid structure.
